Medical Assistant/CMA/LPN - Primary Care
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Take vitals and document findings in the patient chart
- Review annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patients
- Administer immunizations
- Monitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone calls
- Enter orders for laboratory services
Requirements
- Current CPR certification - must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) or current LPN (WI License required).
- Clear and helpful communications skills, teamwork and positive interpersonal relationships skills
Preferred Qualifications
- One year medical assistant or LPN experience in a clinic preferred;
- Excellent verbal and written skills, tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients/families/clinic staff members
- An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions
- Understanding of patient education needs able to effectively shared information with patients, family members and clinic staff as needed
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks
- An ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Experience with EPIC preferred
