Medical Assistant (Clinical Partner)

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Clinical Partner supporting the mission, vision, and core values of HarmonyCares.
• Supports patient care through clinical partnership with Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Care Management Teams.
• Coordinates daily travel itinerary and transports clinicians to scheduled appointments.
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment; may include preparing patients for minor procedures.
• Sets up patient care as directed by Clinicians, adhering to company standards and policies.
• Documents patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Respects patient confidentiality and treats patients with courtesy and respect.
• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture only), EKG, or other procedures as requested by Clinician.
• Labels, stores, and packages specimens for lab delivery.
• Updates patient care plans, SDoH (Social Determinants of Health) assessments, and other documentation in the patient chart or electronic medical record.
• Maintains compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are prepared and maintained for treatment.
• Ensures the company vehicle is clean and follows a proper maintenance schedule.
• Attends required meetings and in-services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or related medical education/training program.
• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
• Current CPR certification meeting Company guidelines.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer literacy, including EMR, iPad, and GPS.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Desire and ability to obtain MA certification within 180 days of hire.
