Medical Assistant - Clinic

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare providers, ensuring the delivery of excellent care to our patients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Facility Engagement: Act as a community liaison between key stakeholders (nursing, sales, wellness, and leadership) and communicate back to the team regarding the facility's needs.
• Patient Engagement: Coordinate care between specialists, therapy, home health, and other ancillary services. Assist with front desk duties, including appointment management, scheduling, and other related duties.
• Monthly Outreach: Conduct outreach with residents/families to assess needs and coordinate care consistent with the provider’s care plan. Connect patients with local/regional social support services.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Outgoing individual who loves interacting with people
• Organized and effective communicator
• Experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting, preferably in a geriatric or senior care environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and be a part of something great
