Support patient care by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, including accurate data entry for patient registration and insurance verification.
Responsibilities
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Assists physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in delivering superior medical care.
- Performs accurate data entry of charges on patient accounts, registers patients, and updates patient records.
- Handles insurance verification and records statistics.
- Schedules patient appointments, answers phones, keeps providers informed of changes, and educates patients on their benefits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 1 year of medical office experience (preferred).
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Schedule
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
