Step into a fast-paced, specialized role where precision, coordination, and patient care come together. As part of the Heart & Vascular team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting cardiovascular care teams—with a strong emphasis on scheduling and coordinating procedures that are essential to patient health outcomes.

The Medical Assistant II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. An MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support cardiovascular care teams by scheduling and coordinating essential procedures.
  • Perform clinical duties under the delegation of a licensed practitioner, including patient care tasks.
  • Execute all responsibilities of a Medical Assistant I while demonstrating full competency in clinical functions for the assigned location.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
  • Completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant with clinical skills including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 6 months of healthcare experience.
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.

Qualifications

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire (preferred).
  • 1 year of cardiology experience (preferred).
  • 1 year of outpatient clinic experience (preferred).
  • 1 year of coordinating diagnostic testing (preferred).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $26.47 - $40.49 per hour. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full time, Day shift.
