Medical Assistant Certified - Infusion
Description
The Certified Medical Assistant will provide patient care assistance to Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Registered Nurses. Duties include:
- Telephone triage support
- Maintaining patient flow through clinic
- Bringing back patients for their appointments
- Obtaining and verifying medical history information
- Entering medical history into the EMR system
- Prepping patients for procedures
- Generating referrals, prescriptions, and test referrals
- Creating discharge paperwork
- Scheduling follow-up appointments
- Discharging patients and addressing questions
- Ordering and stocking medical supplies
- Maintaining clean exam rooms and stock
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three months on-the-job training and recent medical field experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (or willingness to obtain certification within six months)
