Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - Primary Care

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
• Takes vital signs, documents patient history, and updates electronic health records (EHR).
• Affords assistance to providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections.
• Carries out basic lab tasks, prepares specimens, and maintains clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Supports front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.

Requirements

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm CST.
