Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Primary Care
About the role
At Havasu Regional Medical Center, our Certified Medical Assistants play a vital role in supporting the care team. They assist with patient assessments and treatments, perform basic diagnostic procedures, and document patient care. They also maintain equipment and supplies, and handle administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
Requirements
- Hold a current Arizona certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants or National Healthcareer Association.
- Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire if not already active.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification via the AAMA or NHA must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.
Skills
Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is full-time with a schedule of 5x8, Monday-Thursday, (8:00 am - 5:00 pm), Friday (8:00 am- 12:00pm).
