About the role
We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to lead the team and deliver hands-on patient care in a supportive and patient-centered environment. This role supports both clinical and administrative areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations and clinical staff support within the health center.
- Ensure compliance with policies and standards, including regulatory, procedural, and licensing requirements, and patient privacy regulations.
- Meet key performance indicators (KPIs), manage daily operations, and workflows.
- Create and facilitate staff schedules, monitor timecards, and work with Area Operations leadership.
- Function as the subject matter expert (SME) and be accountable for staff training and competency demonstrations.
- Manage supply and pharmacy inventory, and support leadership in resolving issues.
- Provide significant time dedicated to patient facilitation and care, assist physicians or clinicians, and educate patients.
- Collaborate with the Physician(s), Clinician(s), and/or Total Health Solutions team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Registered/Certificated MA or 3+ years of MA experience required.
- Current clinical license in good standing.
- Current BLS or CPR Card required.
- Proficient experience with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records.
- Demonstrated current experience with Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection.
- Ability to work at multiple locations upon business need.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, push, and manipulate equipment and patients.
