Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care and various clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assists physicians with patient care and various clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
- Manages appointment scheduling and chart management.
- Provides information to patients to help them utilize and benefit from clinic services.
- Conveys a positive image of the clinic.
- May be assigned to specific medical specialty to help with patient care related to that specialty.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants, or one year of work experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant within the last 3 years.
- Has obtained certification and is currently a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or obtains certification within the first year of employment.
- Maintains BLS certification.
