Medical Assistant

About the role

SMG Vascular Specialists are seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, located in Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required); Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred).
• Certification/Licensure: Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required); BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: Clinical or Administrative experience of 1 year; Phlebotomy experience (Preferred).

Requirements
