Medical Assistant
Overview
Department: Clinic Cardiology
Schedule: Days - 8:00–4:30 or 8:30–5:00 (adjusted as per business needs)

Bilingual Spanish required
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organization tasks
- Handle appointment scheduling and chart management
- Provide information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services
- Convey a positive image of the organization
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (or relevant experience) required for new hires effective April 2014
- Medical Assistant Certification, preferred
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum one year work experience in a public contact job
- Work experience in health care preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $19.00 to $26.53. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
