Responsibilities
- Assist with admitting patients from the waiting room to the procedure area
- Absorb patients into proper surgical attire before surgery
- Hook-up patient monitors and obtain first set of vital signs and record
- Keep PACU supplies well stocked
- Provides pre/post-operative care and instructions
- Aids in surgery by preparing the laser room with supplies and sterilized equipment
- Stocks all medication and medical supplies by proactively planning work week to ensure completion of required tasks
- Calls to request pre/post-ops on surgery patients
- Orders all medical supplies
- Keeps up with all regular and emergency maintenance on medical equipment
- BLS certified
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One year experience in a Medical setting
Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and front office skills
