Medical Assistant
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited program, for example, (AMT) or (RMA) with a Medical Assistant Certificate.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a medical assistant, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
- Computer knowledge (for instance, use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and data entry experience is required).
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent organization and written and verbal communication skills.
- Quality documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Able to effectively meet competing priorities within expected timeframes.
- Certification as a phlebotomist preferred.

About the Role
This role is first shift, Monday - Friday 8:00a - 4:00p. Earn $18.77/hr!
The position will be responsible for obtaining physical health measure information (e.g., height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, etc.) from individuals upon admission to Merakey’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), prior to medication checks with psychiatric staff, and at other times depending upon program requirements.
The medical assistant will need to be able to complete data entry into Avatar, Merakey's Electronic Health Record (EHR), and support psychiatry staff.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support to Psychiatrists, Physicians, and Medical Directors on a daily basis that allows for the treating physician to provide the highest quality of client care while maintaining the appropriate administrative support.
The Medical Assistant works directly with the supported Psychiatrists, Physicians, RN, LPN, and Medical Director as well as business office, administrative, and clinical team to accomplish their daily tasks.
Schedule
First shift, Monday - Friday 8:00a - 4:00p.
Pay
$18.77/hr.
