Job Requirements

• Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent AND 1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting OR One of the following MA certifications at the time of hire (or must obtain within 12 months of hire): CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA
• Licenses/Certifications: CPOE certification required within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained at hire, Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)

Essential Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history
• Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments
• Conduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG)
• Auxiliary providers with patient care and procedures
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records
• Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain equipment quality checks
• Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment
• All other duties as assigned

Benefits

Minimum hourly rate starts at $17/hour and is commensurate with experience. Monthly incentive pay based on performance metrics. Sign on bonus up to $2,000 (for eligible applicants.*)
