Responsibilities
- Enters patient intake and provider orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Requests medical records
- Utilizes Pharmacy Database Monitoring Program as directed by providers
- Records vital signs and medical history
- Collects patient information
- Facilitates patient flow
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to work individually and within a team
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize

- Working knowledge of the healthcare field and medical terminology
Qualifications
- Completion of a Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMS training program, with a current Nurse Aide certification OR a Medical Assistant certification OR EMS Licensure
- One (1) year of prior experience working in a medical practice
- One (1) year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
