About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable PRN Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support within a Health Center setting on an as-needed basis. This role offers flexibility while allowing you to work in a supportive clinic environment focused on meaningful patient relationships, quality care, and strong team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients while creating a positive patient experience
- Measure and document vital signs, patient history, and clinical information
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
- Perform phlebotomy and collect blood and urine samples
- Support front office and administrative clinic functions as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and workflows
- Deliver concierge-level customer service and compassionate patient care
- Exercise sound clinical judgment within scope of role
- Provide coverage support based on clinic and staffing needs
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A current BLS Certification
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program with diploma/certificate and at least 2 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
- Minimum 3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience obtained through on-the-job training
- Relevant military medic experience
- Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Flexibility to support varying clinic schedules and staffing needs
Qualifications
