Medical Assistant/Admit Worker - Laguna Hills Primary Care - FT Days
Position Summary
Incumbent performs non-licensed medical care in the outpatient clinical setting. Performs clerical functions associated with the operations of a clinical office as necessary.

Responsibilities
- Performs non-licensed medical care in the outpatient clinical setting.
- Performs clerical functions associated with the operations of a clinical office as necessary.
Requirements
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- BLS certification upon hire.
- Ability to work well in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Communicates effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of Competency / Recognition in Medical Assisting.
- Clinical / Back Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting.
- Phlebotomy certification.
- Outpatient experience.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including occasional weekends or holidays.
- Bilingual skill in Spanish or Vietnamese or Chinese.
