Medical Assistant Adjunct Faculty

Duties

• Select and implement effective instructional strategies.
• Achieve learning objectives through assessment of student performance.
• Meet with students and courses at scheduled times.
• Instruct, advise, consult with, and evaluate student performance.
• Create and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, bibliographies, assignments, tests, and other course materials.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.
• Credential in Medical Assisting from an NCCA-accredited organization.
• At least three years of healthcare experience.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Three to five years of college-level teaching experience in an accredited MAS program.
• Experience in developing didactic and clinical outcomes/curricula at both program and course levels.
• Excellent technology and classroom management skills.

Status and Salary

This is a regular adjunct faculty position. Salary will be determined according to the adjunct faculty union contract.
