Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities

• Completes clinical intake requirements, measuring and recording patient-specific information.
• Administers immunizations under provider direction, providing Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) and updating OSIIS.
• Collects patient specimens following established protocols.
• Fulfills clinical policies, procedures, and standards to ensure patient safety and efficient clinic flow.
• Utilizes the EMR to complete tasks accurately and promptly.
• Communicates effectively with patients, providers, and team members using appropriate communication methods.
• Manages assigned tasks using basic time-management and prioritization skills.
• Identifies and escalates patient concerns appropriately.
• Provides leadership and supports the “Quintuple Aim” of healthcare reform.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated proficiency of core competencies within 90 days of employment, including foundational clinical skills, accurate and timely documentation, reliability in assigned workflows, openness to coaching and feedback, and commitment to continued skill development.
• Completed and passed CPR course within 90 days of employment.
• Possesses intermediate computer skills, including data entry and typing.
• Knowledge of instrumentation used in lab point of care testing, as directed, within 90 days.
• Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA and Variety Care policy.
• Effective communication with the patient population.
• Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced work environment.
