Medical AR Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Team Lead. The Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the AR department. This position requires a detail-oriented leader with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage both internal staff and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts receivable activities, including collections, reporting, and workflow management
• Manage and train staff to ensure high performance and adherence to policies
• Maintain aging reports, denials, and credit balances to optimize collections
• Analyze reimbursement issues, identify trends, and implement solutions
• Collaborate with vendors and offshore teams to resolve discrepancies and support compliance
• Ensure productivity and collection goals are consistently met
• Utilize Paylocity and other medical billing systems effectively to streamline operations
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to accounts receivable activities

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of healthcare billing experience
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience
• Proficiency in Excel and medical billing systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and compliance standards
