About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Team Lead. The Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the AR department. This position requires a detail-oriented leader with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage both internal staff and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounts receivable activities, including collections, reporting, and workflow management
- Manage and train staff to ensure high performance and adherence to policies
- Maintain aging reports, denials, and credit balances to optimize collections
- Analyze reimbursement issues, identify trends, and implement solutions
- Collaborate with vendors and offshore teams to resolve discrepancies and support compliance
- Ensure productivity and collection goals are consistently met
- Utilize Paylocity and other medical billing systems effectively to streamline operations
- Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to accounts receivable activities
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of healthcare billing experience
- Prior team leadership or supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Excel and medical billing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and compliance standards
