Medical Administrative Assistant
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Escorts residents to and from medical appointments.
- Provides support to the resident.
- Obtains documentation and provides records to the medical team.
- Acts as a liaison between Children's Home nursing department and medical providers/vendors and school nurse.
- Schedules patient appointments in a timely manner.
- Maintains inventory and stock of medical supplies in the clinics, medication cabinets, and residential settings.
- Maintains files in the Admin's office.
- Secures and stores all discharged minors charts in a designated secure location.
- Performs billing tasks.
- Tracks treatment authorization requests and ensures timely submission and follow up.
- Answers and directs phone calls.
- Completes portal and chart reviews.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Driver's license in good standing as determined by the Agency.
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
- Must complete and pass a pre-employment physical, PPD and drug screen.
- PREFERRED Qualifications:
- Medical assistant training.
- Relevant experience working with children.
- Medical Assistant Certification.

Schedule
Monday/Wednesday 7am-5pm, Tuesday/Thursday 9am-7pm, Sunday 2pm-6pm, Friday-Saturday Off.
