About the role
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Medical Accounting Clerk to support Naval Health Clinic Hawaii near Pearl Harbor, HI.
Responsibilities
- Verify health insurance utilizing medical and billing programs
- Utilize medical health records
- Provide accounting support requiring understanding basic accounting
- Verify and maintain and reconcile accounts
- Prepare and analyze accounting data and reports
- Provide excellent customer service via in-person, by phone, and written communication
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED certificate
- One to three (1-3) years’ experience in a general office environment (accounting experience preferred)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- US Citizen
- Ability to handle confidential data
- Physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and capable of normal ambulation
- Strong commitment to customer service
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently and maintain good communication skills
- Procedure and detail oriented, utilize excellent follow up skills, and strive for 100% accuracy
- Familiarity with modern office equipment, e.g. facsimile, copier, etc.
