Medicaid Business Intelligence Engineer

About the role

The Medicaid Business Intelligence Engineer works on complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insights to decision-makers. They support the development of data processes, reporting, and visualizations for Humana Healthy Horizons Medicaid Risk Adjustment, prospective programs, and interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Solves complex business problems using data from internal and external sources.
• Develops innovative solutions to complex business problems.
• Manages Big Data and ensures data quality in Databricks.
• Creates and maintains data and reporting processes for Humana Healthy Horizons Medicaid Risk Adjustment, prospective programs, and interoperability.
• Supports the creation of data visualizations and reports using Microsoft PowerBI or other data visualization software.
• Performs root cause analysis on Big Data.
• Owns and manages data processes.
• Uses Microsoft Office, including Excel formulas, pivots, charts, and graphs, to drive business outcomes and decisions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Python and Pandas Python library.
• 2+ years of experience in Jupyter Notebook environment.
• 2+ years of experience in Databricks Platform.
• 2+ years of experience in Microsoft PowerBI or other data visualization software.
• 2+ years of experience working with Big Data and performing root cause analysis.
• 2+ years of experience in business ownership of data processes.
• In-depth experience in Microsoft Office including Excel formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Managed Care.
• Experience in Medicaid.
• Experience in risk adjustment.
• Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques.
• Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions.
• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
