Business Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Support the creation and maintenance of Power BI semantic models.
• Write and modify SQL queries to retrieve and validate data.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with senior developers and data engineers to understand data structures.
• Address report defects, enhancements, and routine maintenance requests.
• Participate in requirements discussions and translate them into Power BI solutions.
• Adhere to established development standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–3 years of experience working with Power BI in a professional or business setting.
• Some experience with relational databases and structured datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Effective collaboration and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Basic understanding of Power BI fundamentals, including report creation, data modeling, and SQL.
• Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
• An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to grow technical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, including report and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of basic data modeling concepts and DAX measures/calculation.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Ability to read and follow existing data models and report designs.
