Medicaid Benefits Specialist

About the role

Community Partners is seeking energetic, positive, upbeat professionals to join our team as a Client Benefits Specialist. This role ensures that individuals who may be eligible for state, federal, and local benefits are supported in accessing and applying for those benefits. The Client Benefits Specialist monitors the status of individuals’ eligibility in the Medicaid program and is responsible for Medicaid eligibility review and updates.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in accessing and applying for state, federal, and local benefits.
• Monitor the status of individuals’ eligibility in the Medicaid program.
• Perform Medicaid eligibility reviews and updates.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Position is onsite Monday through Friday.
• Knowledge of APTD, medical insurance, Food Stamps, Cash Assistance, TANF, Social Security, and Supplemental Security Income is a plus.
• Working understanding of medical insurance billing, Medicaid, and Managed Care organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to utilize technology provided to perform job requirements.
• Must pass a background check, including criminal and driving records.
