Media Strategy Sales Planner
About the role
Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Sales Planner to join the Medical Communications Group Media Strategy team. This position is located in our New York, NY office on a hybrid work schedule; three (3) days in office depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform RFP Intake including entry of information into Salesforce, setting up Google Sheets and Slides for team collaboration
- Carefully evaluate all client-supplied RFP materials to accurately interpret campaign objectives
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all advertising products, inventory, and pricing
- Develop customized media recommendations and proposals that align Haymarket's digital products with client marketing objectives
- Manage multiple concurrent proposal timelines while communicating priorities, project status, and expected delivery dates to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams to curate custom audience groups that will be utilized for digital marketing
- Support special projects under the guidance of a Media Strategist or Manager, including business trend analysis, team documentation, process improvement, and workflow efficiencies that strengthen the Media Strategy team’s day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in media planning, media strategy, digital marketing, advertising, or a related field preferred; internship experience and transferable early-career experience will also be considered
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret information, identify trends, and make thoughtful recommendations
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence collaborating across multiple teams
- Naturally curious with a desire to understand not just what to do, but why it matters
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, products, and workflows quickly
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets & Slides); experience with Salesforce or project management tools is a plus.
