WBAL-TV, Baltimore’s NBC affiliate, is looking for a Media Sales Account Executive to develop and manage business across television, digital, and streaming platforms. What You’ll Do: Generate revenue across WBAL-TV’s platforms (TV, digital, streaming, and web)Prospect, contact and present to new businessesDevelop new revenue through local business development, non-traditional businessForm strategic and market partnerships with local businesses and national advertisersSell high-profile programming like Sunday Night Football, The Olympics, and major sports franchisesManage and grow active account/client portfolioConceptualize, create, and deliver sales proposals that are consistent with station strategies, including customized, research-driven presentationsAchieve individual sales goals while contributing to WBAL-TV’s dynamic sales team What We’re Looking for: 3+ years of media sales experience preferred (TV, radio, digital, or related industry)Proven ability to develop new business and sell to local business ownersExperience with the development of new business/non-traditional businessStrong negotiation skills and consultative sales approachExperience in a consultative customer-focused business atmosphereAccountability within a goal-structured organization; experience in a goal-driven, competitive environmentUnderstand and use qualitative research to further sales effort; ability to analyze market research and position clients for successProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with sales software (Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Media Sales, or similar programs a plus)Ability to analyze market research and position clients for successValid driver’s license and a clean driving recordRelated military experience will be consideredIn person attendance is required Why WBAL-TV?
