Media Manager
About the role
The Media Manager is responsible for the tactical execution, performance monitoring, and operational management of paid media campaigns. This role ensures campaigns launch accurately, run efficiently, and deliver against performance benchmarks. Working closely with brand teams, media agencies, analytics, CRM, and website teams, the Media Manager oversees campaign setup, pacing, optimization, and reporting, escalating risks and strategic opportunities to the Director of Media.

Campaign Strategy, Execution & Operations (30%)
- Influence and work between media agency and brand team to keep work moving forward, in support of the media strategy.
- Oversee day‑to‑day execution with media agencies to ensure campaigns launch accurately and on time.
- Manage campaign setup, trafficking, and implementation across paid media platforms.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) on media buys, targeting parameters, tagging, and creative rotations.
- Monitor budget pacing and delivery to ensure campaigns remain within spend targets.
- Identify and implement in‑flight optimizations within established guardrails.
- Maintain detailed documentation including media plans, campaign specs, timelines, and learnings.
Performance Monitoring (20%)
- Track campaign performance against defined benchmarks and KPIs.
- Monitor in‑flight results and flag performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure budget pacing remains within acceptable thresholds (e.g., ±5%).
- Escalate performance issues, optimization opportunities, or operational risks to the Director of Media.
Reporting & Insights (20%)
- Work with media analytics to develop and maintain weekly and monthly performance reporting across campaigns and channels.
- Partner with internal analytics team and external agencies to ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and data quality.
- Maintain KPI tracking and dashboard updates.
- Provide performance insights, test design analysis, and readouts.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration (30%)
- Ensure brand goals and direction are implemented by the media agency.
- Coordinate with the Website & SEO team on landing page performance, tracking implementation, and traffic quality signals.
- Partner with Media Ops on audience segmentation, suppression strategies, and retargeting usage.
- Work with Media Ops to ensure proper tagging, tracking, and audience integration across campaigns.
- Maintain strong coordination with internal teams and agency partners to ensure operational alignment.
Qualifications
- 4–6+ years of experience in paid media, digital marketing, or media operations.
- Experience working with media agencies and digital advertising platforms (Google, Meta, programmatic, etc.).
- Experience collaborating with analytics teams and performance dashboards.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, and operational details simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable optimizations.
- Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy.
- Strong organizational and process orientation, comfortable managing approvals and documentation.
- Collaborative, accountable, and energized by execution.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.
Location
Remote position based in North Carolina.
Compensation
Annual base pay range: $76,700.00 – $136,900.00 (paid annually). Compensation may vary depending on actual location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types such as commissions or bonus incentives may be offered.
