About the role
A fast-growing K-8 school network that uses AI-powered personalized learning to compress core academics into two hours a day is hiring a Media Coordinator to support its communications team.
Responsibilities
- Publishing and scheduling posts across two LinkedIn profiles, pulling from existing content sources and AI-generated drafts
- Engaging with comments and community responses using AI-assisted drafts, reviewed and approved before posting
- Maintaining a consistent posting cadence across both profiles
- Tracking inbound media inquiries in Google Sheets and triaging requests to the appropriate team member
- Drafting routine media responses using established templates and AI tools
- Supporting the comms team with administrative tasks that shift week to week
- Keeping systems organized during high-volume periods so nothing falls through the cracks
Qualifications
- Background in social media management, communications support, media relations, or a related field
- Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
- Working knowledge of LinkedIn and experience with scheduling tools, Google Sheets, or similar organizational systems
- Self-driven with the ability to prioritize and sequence work independently
- Comfortable using AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or similar) as a daily thought partner for writing, research, and workflow optimization
- Detail-oriented with a focus on getting the small things right
- Passionate about education and the organization's approach to reimagining how students learn
