We specialize in public relations, strategic communications, content development, digital marketing, and social media strategies. Since 2003, we have helped clients create greater awareness of their products and services and define and articulate their key messages. Our clients are located across the country and include asset managers, wealth managers, fintech companies, and professional services firms.
Responsibilities
- Account management
- Serve as a junior account lead or co-lead on select clients; ownership of client relationship and proactive communication with client and internal client team
- Support the process of delivering excellent client outcomes by contributing to client plans and execution across several disciplines including media outreach, content, and social media
- Oversee reporting, including quarterly or monthly reports, and share outcomes with clients in a timely manner
- Nurture and grow relationships with clients; maintain high level of communication
- Secure support from other team members to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Media
- Support or lead media activities for select clients
- Help expand and deepen media relationships; follow and engage with media on social, cultivate new relationships and contacts
- Work with client leads and media team to identify opportunities, guide strategy, and ensure successful implementation of strategy across all relevant clients
- Contribute to media strategy and outreach across clients; work with team to assign and prioritize pitches and find successful outcomes
- Lead outreach to select priority media and regularly deliver media outcomes including occasional feature/profile stories
- Monitor the news and identify opportunities and challenges that are relevant to clients
- Participate in weekly media team planning calls (Monday) and daily media team huddles (Tuesday-Friday)
- Develop ideas for pitching and execute pitches to media
- Oversee news release development and strategy for select clients; draft and disseminate news releases
- Provide guidance on best platform/approach for each news release
- Support outreach and drive attendance for in-person and virtual client media events
- Maintain awareness of media covering client lines of business; cultivate relationships and expand media contacts; map and understand priority media outlets, including broadcast media
- Content and social media
- Support thought leadership and social media strategy and content for select clients
- Research and write content or oversee the writing of content on investment, personal finance, or other financial topics including articles and blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, backgrounders, feature stories, bios, website copy, policy statements, and other corporate communications
- Help create content plans as needed
- Research and write social media content; create social media content plans as needed
- Support paid content and social media programs, as relevant
- Firm contributions
- Contribute to reporting, marketing, business development, and firm operations
- Draft content for the LoweDown Blog; serve as a resource for LoweDown Blog operations
- Serve as a resource to other team members seeking client outcomes, improving processes, or advancing their understanding
Requirements
- Two to five years of experience managing client relationships and project management, experience in financial services preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex information with text and data
- Curiosity about finance and willingness to learn is crucial to success
- Consulting mindset, good writing skills, attention to detail, a collaborative spirit, and a dedication to providing good client service
- Organized, professional, quick, fluent in basic business software, and ready to learn about more tools
- Ability to work independently, readiness to ask questions, and excellent interpersonal skills
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with core business hours from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. In-person work arrangement preferred. We are willing to consider a hybrid arrangement depending on circumstances.
