Medi-Cal Biller
About the role
Generations Healthcare is seeking a Medi-Cal Biller to join their team. They provide high-quality patient care in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities with an excellent reputation.
Responsibilities
- Minimum 1 year verified experience in Medi-Cal billing in a SNF
- Billing systems in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Hospital
- Proficient in Medi-Cal applicant process, TARS, A/R Collection, excellent follow up with claims, along with private collection (share of cost)
- Data entry
- Business phone etiquette experience
- A committed work ethic with a can-do attitude
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Medi-Cal Billing experience 1 year or less
- At least one (1) years’ experience in a clerical position or successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college
- The ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- The ability to follow written and oral instructions
- The ability to effectively use a 10-key calculator and have working knowledge of computers, Input/output/retrieval data, etc.
