About the role

The Lead Caregiver acts as a shift leader, ensuring exceptional resident care and supporting the caregiving team.

Responsibilities

• Leading shift assignments
• Managing attendance
• Coordinating coverage
• Providing hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
• Coaching caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Reviewing charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitoring resident changes and communicating concerns promptly
• Supporting onboarding and mentoring new team members
• Promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills
• Experience in assisted living or senior care preferred
