About the Role

Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic manner.

• Use data and information to continuously improve care and practice outcomes.
• Administer medications according to standard nursing practice.
• Assume responsibility for self-development to enhance practice settings.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent (minimum education).
• 2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum experience).
• Alabama Board of Nursing License (required).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer (EAH to assist with certification completion).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience.
