Med Surg RN - Contract

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Med Surg Registered Nurse to join our 28-bed unit, delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to care for diverse patient populations, including surgical, trauma, and stroke cases, as part of a supportive team focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Demonstrate leadership and serve as a clinical resource for staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Manage time efficiently in a high-volume setting.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar Med Surg setting.
• Valid Michigan RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination (exemptions may apply).

Schedule

Three 12-hour night shifts per week.
