Med/Surg Flex Team – Licensed Practical Nurse, 2

Responsibilities

• Remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients.
• Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system.
• Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care.
• Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD.
• Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.
• Requires the ability to work independently and demonstrate strong prioritization skills.
• The LPN must be able to critical think and be able to respond and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Current New York State license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Completion of a recognized LPN program.
• Experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

Pay

Compensation range: $26.77 - $34.80 per hour.

Schedule

FT position available, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays per unit policy.
