Med Surg Cardiac RN Training Cohort
Job Summary
The RN Medical Surgical Cardiac New to Specialty program is a 10-week paid program designed for experienced RNs to transition into the hospital setting. It includes didactic training, preceptorship, and certifications.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support and PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- At least 1 year of RN experience required.
What You Will Do
- Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
- Perform procedures, monitor, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
