Job Summary

The RN Medical Surgical Cardiac New to Specialty program is a 10-week paid program designed for experienced RNs to transition into the hospital setting. It includes didactic training, preceptorship, and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support and PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience required.

What You Will Do

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
  • Perform procedures, monitor, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
