Med Surg Cardiac Clinical Nurse - Part Time - Nights

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The nurse will promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management and post-treatment needs, and participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities. The role requires working in a safety-sensitive environment with a focus on communication and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Developing and documenting individualized care plans
• Collaborating with the healthcare team
• Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs
• Promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Educate patients and families on care management
• Develop and communicate care plans proactively
• Assess patient needs holistically and incorporate patient preferences

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree; preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license
• Experience: No prior experience required; two years of experience preferred

Skills

• Telemetry experience is a plus
