Med Surg Cardiac Clinical Nurse - Part Time
About the role
Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care settings. Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural factors. Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, as well as ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN licensure, and preferred Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience. Telemetry experience is advantageous.
