Med Surg Cardiac Clinical Nurse - Part Time

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
• Communicates effectively across the continuum of care, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's; BSN preferred.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.
• Telemetry experience and BSN degree are preferred.
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years experience is preferred for advanced qualifications.
