About the role

The Department of Psychiatry at the Albany Medical Center/Albany Medical College is seeking Psychologists/Licensed Clinical Social Workers to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical work in the outpatient faculty practice and within the consultation-liaison service.
  • Teach/training activities through APA accredited clinical psychology internship and psychiatry residency training programs.
  • Collaborate in research.
  • Provide treatment to the diverse community of the Capital Region, as well as students and trainees of the Albany Medical College.
  • Provide clinical supervision for several possible trainees, including postdoctoral fellows, psychology interns, psychology practicum students, resident physicians, social workers, and mental health counseling students.

Requirements

  • Full-time position.
  • Experience in clinical, research, and teaching focused on practices and policies related to health equity and improving the quality and care of BIPOC, gender and sexual minorities and other aspects of diversity.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Psychology or Master's degree in Social Work.
  • Licenses/certifications as a Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
