Med Lab Tech (Micro)

Responsibilities

• Accurately process, analyze and report laboratory results with limited supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Understand quality control monitoring, computer applications, and troubleshoot when necessary.
• Follow laboratory's established policies and procedures.
• Perform a variety of routine and special laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager or Director, rotating through at least three areas of the Clinical Lab: Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology/Serology, and Microbiology.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instruments; record data and maintain equipment.
• Adhere to laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
• Use universal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers from bio-hazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology or Chemistry.
• MLS, MLT license/certificate, ASCP/AMT.
• Minimum of one (1) year clinical laboratory experience.
