Mechatronics Technician II - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Supports technical production performance, training, and resources.
  • Maintains and repairs various mechanical and electrical aspects of automatic and semi-automatic equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and interprets equipment performance issues.
  • Coordinates machine enhancements and improvements with Manufacturing Engineering department.
  • Designs mechanical tooling drawings using AutoCAD and coordinates purchases from local suppliers.
  • Completes machine qualification testing and documentation for new equipment.
  • Establishes and manages preventative maintenance programs on all equipment.
  • Provides technical support to manufacturing personnel.
  • Understands and recommends process improvements.
  • Follows necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and adheres to ISO specifications and company procedures.
  • Utilizes quality tools and continuous improvement techniques to enhance departmental targets.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or related field with 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other computer-aided design programs.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly and industry standards.
  • Initiative to understand and complete tasks, seek perspectives, and take responsibility for mistakes.
  • Teamwork and willingness to recommend improvements for processes and material disposition.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, use a pallet jack with a 300-pound load, and use portable stairs to climb to 12-foot heights.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.

  • Able to carry 20 pound/3 cubic foot boxes up and down portable stairs.
  • Able to push a 4-wheeled cart with a 100-pound load.
  • Able to stand or sit continuously for four hours without breaks.
  • Able to travel to offsite locations, including German Headquarters, for periods of up to two to three weeks.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
