Mechatronics Technician I - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Supports technical production performance and resources.
• Maintains and repairs various mechanical and electrical aspects of automatic and semi-automatic equipment.
• Troubleshoots and interprets equipment performance issues.
• Maintains spare parts list and documentation for new equipment.
• Executes preventative maintenance programs on all equipment.
• Works closely with manufacturing personnel to provide technical support.
• Coordinates machine enhancements and improvements with engineering departments.
• Designs mechanical tooling drawings using AutoCAD and coordinates purchases from suppliers.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and quality control.
• Experience working in a production environment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software.
• Understanding of mechanical assembly processes.

Essential Job Functions

• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Able to use a pallet jack with a 300-pound load.
• Able to use portable stairs and climb to 12-foot heights.
• Able to carry 20-pound/3-cubic-foot boxes up and down portable stairs.
• Able to push 4-wheeled carts with 100-pound loads.
• Able to work a 6-day week, if required.
• Able to stand or sit continuously for four hours without breaks.
• Able to travel to offsite locations, including German Headquarters, for periods of up to 2 to 3 weeks.
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
