Responsibilities
- Supports technical production performance and resources.
- Maintains and repairs various mechanical and electrical aspects of automatic and semi-automatic equipment.
- Troubleshoots and interprets equipment performance issues.
- Maintains spare parts list and documentation for new equipment.
- Executes preventative maintenance programs on all equipment.
- Works closely with manufacturing personnel to provide technical support.
- Coordinates machine enhancements and improvements with engineering departments.
- Designs mechanical tooling drawings using AutoCAD and coordinates purchases from suppliers.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience in a production environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and quality control.
- Experience working in a production environment.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software.
- Understanding of mechanical assembly processes.
Essential Job Functions
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Able to use a pallet jack with a 300-pound load.
- Able to use portable stairs and climb to 12-foot heights.
- Able to carry 20-pound/3-cubic-foot boxes up and down portable stairs.
- Able to push 4-wheeled carts with 100-pound loads.
- Able to work a 6-day week, if required.
- Able to stand or sit continuously for four hours without breaks.
- Able to travel to offsite locations, including German Headquarters, for periods of up to 2 to 3 weeks.
- Regular and on-time attendance required.
