Mechatronics Technician II - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Supports technical production performance, training, and resources.
  • Maintains and repairs various mechanical and electrical aspects of automatic and semi-automatic equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and interprets equipment performance issues.
  • Coordinates machine enhancements and improvements with Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
  • Designs mechanical tooling drawings using AutoCAD and coordinates purchases from local suppliers.
  • Completes machine qualification testing and documentation for new equipment.
  • Establishes and manages preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provides technical support to manufacturing personnel.
  • Implements process improvements based on departmental processes.
  • Follows safety protocols and utilizes quality tools for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or related field with 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and mechanical assembly.
  • Initiative and ability to take responsibility for tasks and seek feedback.
  • Honesty and forthrightness in handling mistakes and responsibilities.
  • Teamwork and willingness to contribute to departmental goals.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to changing work environments.

Essential Job Functions

  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Able to operate a pallet jack with a 300-pound load.
  • Able to use portable stairs and climb to 12-foot heights.
  • Able to carry 20-pound/3-cubic-foot boxes up and down portable stairs.
  • Able to push 4-wheeled carts with a 100-pound load.
  • Able to stand or sit continuously for four hours without breaks.
  • Able to travel to offsite locations for up to two to three weeks.
  • Regular and on-time attendance required.
