This role focuses on developing skills in preventative/predictive maintenance, fabrication, pneumatic and electronic systems design, PLC programming, and ABB robot programming.
Responsibilities
- Develop skills to understand and implement Preventative/Predictive Maintenance procedures and best practices at New Boston or Jefferson plant locations.
- Fabricate parts from raw materials.
- Draw/design simple pneumatic systems and follow pneumatic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
- Draw/design simple electronic systems and follow electronic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
- Program/design simple PLC programs and follow existing PLC programs of complex machines/assembly lines.
- Program simple ABB robot programs and follow existing ABB robot programs of complex machines/assembly lines.
Physical Requirements
May include lifting and carrying objects up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications
- Comfortable with starting pay of $16/hour during work rotations, with a $1/hour increase each year throughout the three-year apprenticeship.
- Commitment to complete a guided training program led by a Technical Trainer.
- Willingness to learn the basics of mechatronics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Ability to finish the program at an entry-level "Technician" role with successful completion of IHK/PAL Examinations.
- Upon completion, commit to full-time employment with Brose for two years.
