About the Role

Apprenticeship program at the New Boston or Jefferson plant location designed to develop technical skills in preventative/predictive maintenance, fabrication, pneumatic and electronic systems, PLC programming, and ABB robot programming.

Responsibilities

  • Develop skills to understand preventative/predictive maintenance procedures and best practices.
  • Fabricate parts from raw material.
  • Draw/design simple pneumatic systems and follow pneumatic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
  • Draw/design simple electronic systems and follow electronic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
  • Program/design simple PLC programs and follow existing PLC programs of complex machines/assembly lines.
  • Program simple ABB robot programs and follow existing ABB robot programs of complex machines/assembly lines.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay

The program begins at $16/hour during work rotations, with a $1/hour increase each year throughout the three-year apprenticeship. Tuition for the associate degree is fully covered, and apprentices receive a $200 weekly stipend during school weeks.

Program Details

  • Complete a guided training program led by a Technical Trainer.

  • Upon completion, apprentices must commit to full-time employment with Brose for two years.
