Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering Adjunct

Responsibilities

• Teach foundational and applied topics in Robotics and Mechatronic systems.
• Support classroom and laboratory instruction in areas such as sensors and actuators, industrial automation, robotic kinematics, microcontrollers, PLCs, control systems, and system integration.
• Deliver hands-on, application-focused learning to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, and engineering technology.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Sensors, actuators, and system instrumentation
• Robotics fundamentals, robotic arms, kinematics, and automation
• Mechatronic systems, electromechanical integration
• Microcontrollers, PLCs, embedded systems, or industrial controls
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support diverse student populations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to manage multiple instructional responsibilities and meet established deadlines
• Ability to demonstrate best practices in teaching engineering or technical courses in a community college environment

KSA's/Required Qualifications

• Teaching or industry experience in robotics, mechatronics, automation, or related engineering technology fields
• CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
