Adjunct Instructor: Mechanical Engineering
About the role
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to teach in our engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, and Engineering Management. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise.
- Opportunities include teaching graduate courses in Engineering Management, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, and/or undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
- This flexibility allows the department to align teaching assignments with the candidate's strengths.
- Candidates with multiple expertise in both Civil and Mechanical Engineering will be especially well-suited to this interdisciplinary role.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Engineering Management / Civil Engineering, or in a related field.
- Preferred Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering / Engineering Management / Civil Engineering, or in a related field.
- Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, particularly in a relevant engineering discipline.
- A history of interdisciplinary collaboration is highly desired, with the ability to leverage these partnerships to enhance the academic curriculum and broaden experiential learning opportunities for the students.
