Adjunct Instructor of Mechanical Engineering

Penn State Altoona invites applications for a part-time adjunct instructor position in Mechanical Engineering beginning in Fall semester of 2026 (starting August).

About the role

Teaching responsibilities will be two courses:

• One section of ME 370 (Vibration of Mechanical Systems) meeting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:10AM-11:00AM
• One section of ME 450 (Modeling of Dynamic Systems) meeting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1:25PM-2:15PM

20 hours per week of work are required for the position.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Doctoral students who are ABD may be considered
